If you like Abby’s Agency, you may want to try out my new steampunk spy themed roleplaying game Steam Spy. Everything you need to play is available to download on line for a low price. But it’s completely free to check out. In fact, I recommend reading the short story Steam and Mirrors. It’s like Abby’s Agency but with zeppelins.
This is a bit more action and excitement than we normally have around here, but it is pretty fun to take on every once in a while. However I’ve already promised Tiffany that the next storyline would have slightly less laser shooting lawn gnomes. But I have to admit, I’d love to have one of those for my desk at work. (You hear me Santa?)
In case you haven’t already noticed, I’m going to be at the UP! Fair is in Lexington Kentucky next month! It runs November 19 and 20, and I plan on having plenty of Abby’s Agency books (as well as some other stuff). Hopefully plenty of you can make it, it look like it’s going to be a blast.
I know it might seem like this storyline is all over the place, but I promise that the GSI supplies and the Nick in the shower stories are going to come together pretty soon.
Tiffany recommended this storyline, unfortunately it took me a while to get it to come together in a way I was happy with so it’s running a bit later than it should. Ideally it would have run earlier in the summer, but I still think it stands up pretty well. It features someone that we haven’t really focused on in a while. I hope you like it.
Also, for those of you that haven’t seen it yet, I’ve created a central hub site for all of my comic work (including Abby’s Agency) over at Entire Prize Enterprises (don’t confuse this with Tiffany’s hub). If you haven’t been over there yet, stop by and say hi.
I’ve always been fascinated by “cool” cars that have obviously live a long hard life. “Junker” sports cars have a definite appeal. I think it was the movie “The Big Chill” that included an old beat up Porsche that I absolutely loved.
But this storyline is based on the kind of car that I had most of the time growing up. I’m a strong believer that early drivers need a healthily trashed used car. I know I learned a lot about cars putting band aids on some of my old junkers in my early driving experience. Of course none of them had left over spy gadgets.
My new years resolution this year is to be be more active in my blogs, twitters and forums. I tend to be kind of a quiet type who likes to have his comics talk for him, but I really do like connecting with the fans. So I’m going to do my best to be more vocal this year. Of course I tend to make this resolution every year, but I’m going to try to stick to it this time.
This storyline is based on my wife’s famous toffee. It’s something that she only makes around Christmas and every time I take a batch to work I’m bombarded with requests for the recipe. So I can only imagine how difficult it would be to keep it secret from a top notch intelligence organization.
When we started Abby’s Agency, one of the things that I was really interested in developing was some kind of reader role playing opportunity. Abby’s Agency is about the office workers behind the scenes of your favorite spy adventure, only a couple of actual WSA agents have been introduced in the comic. So I always wanted to give you, the readers, an opportunity to become the field operatives for the World Star Agency and develop the fan community around a role playing opportunity. I just never got around to it.
Fortunately the guys over at Snakehead Games have made that dream a possibility. Spy Battles 2165 is a role playing game where you become a spy and can join the WSA or any one of a number of other factions to travel the globe in search of intrigue and adventure. You have the opportunity to build and develop your character as you go on covert operations, gamble, and attack enemy agents. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Okay, I have a confession to make. I wrote this current storyline to conclude on Election day. However my estimations seem to be off. It’s set to conclude on December 4th instead of November 4th. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I need to take full blame for this one.
The good news is that I had written 2 endings depending on who won the election, but by December it’s going to be pretty obvious who won (I hope).
I’m heading off to Comic Con!Â
I’ll be appearing at the Keenspot booth so please stop by and say “hello”. I’ll have both Abby’s Agency books as well as bookmarks and postcards. I’ll also have some Zortic books and ETI-PI fliers. We’re still working on trying to get Tiffany and I to appear together sometime soon!
Abby’s Agency is on hiatus for the summer – the artist, myself, has to work on paying off various obligations and making books for print. It should return in late August. I’m sorry I had to chop it off in the middle of a segment, normally I wouldn’t, but this was a very abrupt decision I didn’t want to make.

Comics have been uploaded! (Trying very hard NOT to forget to upload!!) I finish them… then it slips my mind and I forget to check. Making a check list.
I’m also working on a new page layout.
Ok, so my repeated attempts to try a new work flow method are clearly NOT WORKING… either that or my husband’s car wreck last Friday took its toll and him being at home the entire week is also not helping.
*Spring Break* I love my husband, but it is difficult to work when he is off.
More likely, it’s a combination of all the above. I was going to get today’s Abby up this morning, but failed… and failed again at noon.. and again this evening. I’ve been working on inking and penciling all day and am prepping next week’s comics at the same time so I don’t fall even further behind.
No update today, but they will update without a problem next week – everything will be back to normal – husband will be back to work and Kim in school.

Updates have been completed AND uploaded to update this week!! I kept forgetting to upload finished comics in the past, so kicking myself to work harder and get them to update ON TIME!

Bugs in the page due to upgrades.
I’m also behind due to a week of illness, breaking in replacement tablet and then five hours of no electricity today! Comic is almost done – will update on Thursday.

Would you believe … doing this layout has taken most of a day? It looks easy (well, I knew it wasn’t easy before I started, because I’ve been contemplating it for awhile.) This layout has changed a bit, but I’m liking how it’s looking so far. I WAS going for a theme in the form of a cork board, but went from there to a desk to .. bah.. it just looks pleasant.
I still have to complete the header, new navigation buttons (I may put that off for awhile as it’s not really THAT necessary) and to fix the top and bottom on that center part where this blog is at. Otherwise, we’re good to go and there WILL be one update for next week.

Site’s going to be a functional mess for awhile. Server problems have been getting a good deal of my attention … so trying to fix that with a new server. I will get this page looking nice again before I overhaul the rest of them.

I completed this week’s updates .. but forgot to load them. At the same time, I’ve been busy making things for A-kon which starts on Friday .. and didn’t do any for next week, so I’m going to hold this week’s comics and use them next week.

I didn’t INTEND to take the comic into hiatus right here. It WILL return, I’m just not sure when. I’m going to shoot for sometime this month (February), but not within the first two weeks. I have too many things to get done. (Most of what’s been in the way of updating has been doctors visits and other similarly fun things.) The comic IS supposed to go on hiatus, but not until the end of this arc.
Today’s update will update late. I still have to letter it. I’m being slowed down by a minor bit of soreness.
